Has the Foundation  begun funding research?

Yes. The first two grants were announced in March 2011. These two grants, each for $40,000, were possible only because of the donations the Foundation received.

What is the Foundation’s fiscal year?

It is January 1-December 31.

Can I make my gift online? Is my credit card protected?

Yes. The pages where we accept online payments are secure pages. You can identify these pages because the website address begins with “https.”

Is there another way I can give besides online?

How many grants do you award each year?

In our first grant cycle the Board of Directors approved two grants. That number may change in future years.

What is the average size and duration of your grants?

The first two grants authorized were each for $40,000. The recipients have 12 months to complete their work.

Do you accept unsolicited proposals?

No. Proposals are only accepted during specific time periods that are outlined in our grant cycle.

Do you have a formal application form?

No, but abstracts must conform to the guidelines announced when the Foundation issues a call for abstracts.
